Impressive.
Doug and I were watching an episode of "Private Practice" today, the subject was a young woman who was carrying triplets as a surrogate, something the husband had not been too keen on, at some point she started having complications; in the end, the woman had some risky surgery that caused her to be brain dead. The dilemma was the babies, they would need 7-8 more weeks on the "inside" to have a chance at survival I made the comment "that would be tough", the husband in the story wants to let his wife go and bury her and a fight with the surrogate family ensues.
Doug looks over at me and says "If that were you, and you are basically dead, I would say let's keep you on the machines for the 7-8 weeks because I KNOW that you would want those babies to have a chance"
We'll have been married 14yrs in 2.5 weeks, he probably gave me the BEST gift I could get for our years together, he KNOWS me; very well.
That's a gift.

Ok, ok.....
I am WELL aware there has been no activity here for awhile now; I have a good "excuse".
Hopper has a photography class now, and the camera we bought him last Christmas will not work as it doesn't have the A/V settings, so it was either take mine, or drop out, and he didn't want to do that, and quite frankly, he'll probably be able to "help" me once he's done, so I have let him have it until school is out for the class, but I miss my camera, and I'm thinking I'll make him bring it home for the weekends so I can at least start documenting our life around here again, with being at home now, and no "working" I am wanting to find more time to really "catch on" and start taking some award-winning photos!..... of my kids!
Things are hopp'n around here; as usual. Cody and Spencer are both working, so it's a revolving door, Cody is doing work release now, so he leaves school around 1 and works until 5 or 8pm most weekdays. Spencer works at Arctic Circle, he won "employee of the month" in his first month, and his boss says he is a good worker. Both boys are so smart, and I'm excited to see what they "turn" into!
Callie and Ethan are both going to school, Callie in 2nd and Ethan in pre-school, both are smart-smart, and CUTE-CUTE!! They are both so happy that Mama doesn't go to work everyday now, Ethan probably asked for at least a week, "you go to work today"? it was a fun little game for him as each time I would say "nope"......
I have gone back to the Choral Arts Society of Utah choir, and I'm enjoying it very much, I think I will go back for music lessons eventually, as I have forgotton it all, I can't read music, I have to "hear" things, far cry from the days of playing the flute, I so wish I had continued with that, then I could still play; AND would know how to read! I think I may decide to learn the flute again, I loved playing the flute.
Doug is doing real estate; and he's GOOD at it. He enjoys it so much, and I think it's great to have something you LOVE doing, so if you're reading this, get out there and BUY A HOUSE, using Doug as your realtor; of course!!
Doug and I are approching 14yrs of marriage in April, such an accomplishment, and yet it's really not that many years in the big scheme of things, but it's something to be proud of, and I think some day's we're STUNNED we're still together! ;)
I will sure try to get some pictures up here soon.....
